Browser compatibility and cookies

I'm having problems logging in or accessing library resources. How do I troubleshoot browser issues? How do I clear cookies?


Answer

To access library resources please make sure you are using a modern, up-to-date browser such as Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge. Microsoft Internet Explorer is no longer supported.

Check the database or resource for any compatibility notes, such as whether it works best with a certain browser or requires special browser extensions or plugins.

Sometimes access is prevented due to expired, or incorrect cookies from a previous session. This can affect logging in and accessing some sites resulting in error messages or blank pages. In these instances try clearing your cookies.
