Group and Study Room Policies

Do I need a reservation? For how long can I reserve a study room?

Answer

Study Rooms and Studios are reserved for use by current students, faculty, and staff.

Study Room Rules and Host Responsibilities

  • The student who made the reservation is the host and must keep a list of attendees and will be responsible for enforcing the room usage rules.
  • Follow room usage rules as posted.
  • Study rooms are intended for individual and small-group use. Study rooms may not be used by student groups.

Responsible Use Guidelines

Reservations are required. Reserve a study room online.

  • All rooms require a reservation, whether it is 1 person or a group.
  • Individuals and groups can reserve a room for a maximum of three hours per day.
  • Rooms can be reserved up to two weeks in advance.
  • Group study rooms are not to be used for regularly scheduled meetings.
  • Please use only dry-erase markers on the whiteboards; you can check out a set at the Circulation Desk.

All use of rooms requires a reservation. Individuals studying alone should reserve the room with the smallest occupancy available. Likewise, with groups. For example, if you are a group of 2, please do not reserve a 6-person room unless nothing else is available.

Please be ready to leave the room when your scheduled time is up. There is a limit of 3 hours per day. Please check the reservation grid to see what rooms are available.

Please be respectful of those around you. While group rooms are isolated, loud noises will travel and may disturb others.

Please be respectful of the rooms. Clean up after yourself, including putting furniture back where you got it. Please do not unplug any of the cords to the computer or screens.
